| 9th Annual Columbia Pacific Food Drive | ||
| Hudson Garbage is partnering with Columbia Pacific Food Bank Columbia Pacific Food Bank and Hudson Garbage employees will deliver plastic bags on garbage cans the week of October 3rd - 7th. Garbage haulers in St Helens, Rainier and Clatskanie will pick up the food donations the week of October 10th - 14th. The food collected will benefit the Columbia Pacific Food Bank (Columbia County), H.E.L.P. Food Pantry (St Helens), Hope of Rainier (Rainier) and Turning Point Community Center (Clatskanie). | 7th Annual Charity Masquerade Ball | ||
| Windermere Real Estate presents their Annual Charity Masquerade Ball & Auction The Windermere Foundation, a non-profit organization, has been providing assistance to our communities for many years and this event is a local fundraiser to benefit low-income families and children in Columbia County. From 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, live auction and silent auction. From 9:00pm to 11:00pm there will be live music and dancing. This year’s event will be at the Columbia County Fairgrounds Pavilion at 58892 Saulser Road in St. Helens. The evening’s festivities will include hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, a live auction and a silent auction. Hit Machine, a local band well known throughout the Portland area, will take the stage at 9 p.m. following the live auction. A costume contest is also on the evening’s agenda, so party-goers are encouraged to wear their best, most creative Halloween costumes. This year’s attendees will have the opportunity to bid on a variety of items in the silent and live auctions Tickets for the event are $15 per person, $25 per couple, or $125 for a reserved table that seats 8, and can be purchased at the 3 regional Windermere/St. Helens Real Estate offices located at 155 W. Columbia River Highway in Clatskanie, 51913 Columbia River Highway in Scappoose, and 519 S. Columbia River Highway in St. Helens. All About Mail, which is located at 33480 SW Chinook Plaza in Scappoose, is also selling tickets to the event. |

| Annual Meadow Park Harvest Festival | ||
| Annual Harvest Festival Meadow Park Health and Specialty Care Center is planning their Annual Harvest Festival inviting children of the community to the facility for tricks, treats, and games on October 28th from 3:00 to 5:00pm. Donations are requested for Halloween Candy, Decorations and Prizes (gift certificates, flowers, etc for 1 to 11 year olds). Contributors will be acknowledged in the South County Spotlight newspaper.
